Grießbach Gorge
A natural wonder
Right around the corner from us is one of the most stunning hiking destinations in the region, the Grießbach Gorge in Erpfendorf, part of the village of Kirchdorf. The gorge was renovated, with a trail leading along the rock face over an overpass, a hanging bridge, a barefoot trail and many other details that make this route particularly interesting.
The gorge offers 3 different circular trails, all in an unspoilt natural setting and featuring crystal-clear water and wildly romantic views.
• Short loop: approx. 1 hour and 15 minutes
• Long loop: approx. 2 hours and 15 minutes
• Almrunde: approx. 4.5 hours – to Angleralm and Huberalm pasture via Jägersteig The car park for the Grießbach gorge is located approximately 800 metres behind the entrance to the village of Erpfendorf (as seen from Kirchdorf).
