Nestled in the Wilder Kaiser Nature Reserve, the turquoise-blue Hintersteiner See is a mountain lake at 833 meters above sea level, covering 56 hectares with a depth of 36 meters. On the lake’s north shore you’ll find the beach area with a shallow entry—making swimming here a truly special experience.
Fancy a bit of exercise? No problem. You can hike the trail around the lake and then jump into the crystal-clear water.
Hintersteiner See has been recognized as Tyrol’s most beautiful and cleanest mountain lake. It is reachable from Erlebnisgut Oberhabach by car in about 30 minutes.
